It appears the circuit cards for the sliding door can cache (hold) a fault when something went askew in the closing cycle and you were able to clear or refresh the circuit cards of the this fault, by removing the siding doors fuses. Turn the sliding door switch to off position then pull the handle inside and push them closed manually.
