I'm not trying to dispute anything you're saying. I agree it takes 10 minutes or less to pull the carb on the DRZ. It probably takes an extra minute for me to pivot the subframe. I'm not saying it's necessary. When that is confirmed drain the old gas from your tank and put fresh gas in. On the side of your float bowl there is a screw you can open to drain your float bowl. Put the petcock on prime and turn this screw counter clockwise. However, it is not a fuel mixture screw. The fuel mixture screw is covered by a brass looking plug on the underside of your carb.
