CRF300L rally is a brand new designed bike, and the XR650L is the same bike as it was designed in the 1980's and is still around because it's grandfathered in emissions laws. I would go for the bike with the new tech. I would go with the 300.A brand new KLR650 adventure model is costing a bit over $10k otd with XR650Ls and DR650s costing only slightly less. All 3 bikes hold value pretty well so used doesn't really make sense. KLR650 brand new seems to offer most bang for the buck. You can get a YSS shock with a proper spring for your weight for $350, or one with a remote reservoir and more adjustability for $500.
