It was first detected about 1.5 years ago however dealer refused to deal with it under warranty blaming it on rustproofing clogging up some sensor or valve. They also quoted some $400+ to deal with it at which point I said I'll pass.

They are claiming it is a PHANTOM CODE. My problem is how is any place that does SMOG or looks at it without a "FORD" reader going to know it does not exist?
