I tried replacing the mid harness and replacing the fuel pressure regulator. Truck starts up and sounds like its knocking then alms down a bit and sounds like a lb7 but fuel rail pressure stays around 20-23k there is no demand for it as the truck is idling. It's in limp at 2k hits a rev limiter. 06 LBZ codes P0090, P0080, P0168. I have a 2006 LBZ with 220,000 miles, I have the EFI Live with DSP 5, installed new injectors last year, blew an exhaust coolant line, the 4" incher that you have to pull evertything so when I did I pulled the Y bridge, EGR, cooler and totally cleaned everything inside and out.

Jan 23, 2012 · P0089 and P0090 FOUND IT!! The connector to the fuel rail regulator had a wire pushed out!!! The way it works is the computer LOWERS the fuel pressure. So an open circuit doesnt signal the solenoid to lower the fuel pressure. pressure was maxed out, over 20000 mpa. ran like crap. made funny metalic noise too.

The P0090 says it is a "Fuel quantity solenoid circuit open". P0088 is "Rail pressure signal is above maximum limit". Symptoms - when i start it, the idle is incredibly rough, feels like a clogged carb. (Maybe I could check that.....) And there is a really loud knocking to the engine.
