The left side appears to push out a bit when pressing the fob button, but clearly the latch is still latched and isnt allowing it to open. I tried to open it via the access panel per the repair manual instructions, but I cant seem get it open that way either.If the mortgage absolutely will not open usually the only way is to physically break off the rear panel entirely to access the latch. This is usually due to the fact that some of the mounting screws are not accessible without the liftgate being open. The panel will likely need to be replaced afterwards. Ford. Edge.
