Added a compact Mesa Tactical pistol grip and drilled/tapped myself for the 336 base with a Vortex Venom on top. It's a sweet rig but I also own a 12 and 20 Franchi Affinity for waterfowl. Same triggers on the Benelli's and Franchi's. Surprisingly the swing on the lighter and shorter M2 was SMOOTHER than the A300. Without the extra weight I was quickly able to swing through the shot. Controls - The A300 seemingly has easier controls. Bigger bolt handle, oversized bolt release, safety in-front of the trigger, and bolt lock in the mag well.

I have a Affinity 3 and an A400(and a Benelli M2). The Affinity 3 is strictly for hunting for me: it’s got a 26” barrel and is nice and light for quick shots, great fit and finish. If you want inertia and are just starting out, the Affinity 3 or the Benelli M2 are the 2 I recommend most. For gas guns, the A400 is the top contender imo.This is right and results in a significant difference IMHO. Yet, Benelli brand of Beretta hasn't done a bloody thing to fix it in all these years. The Franchi is similar to the M2 but not the same. Like I didn't buy a different model Benelli, similar but not the same as the M2. Preference for one over the other nothing more.
