The G30S slide is the same thickness as the G36 but has the frame of a G30SF. You would be better off going with the more popular G30S, and you can also use G21 mags if you chose to which holds 13 rounds in the mag.

Good for carry but not shooting. The G30s I did own but sold it. Its lighter than the G30sf and I could tell the difference in the felt recoil. Even the about 3 oz. makes a difference at least for me. I like the G30sf over the G30 that I also sold. The G30sf is probably the best and most accurate Glock that I have owned and I have owned 27 of them.

Only difference was the G30SF is a tad shorter by about 1/4 ... Hand timed at 2.5sec for 10 shots on the G19 (0.25sec/shot), and 2.27sec for 9 shots on the G30 (0.25 sec/shot). Call it a draw.
