That made a difference. Never shot a 21 so I can't comment but the 30SF is a very good pistol. I'm thinking a 21 feels real close to a 30sf after you add the Pearce to the 30. The 30s (not sf) probably kicks harder because of the lighter slide. Typical tradeoff, lighter carry weight and more recoil.

I have most all the Glock .45's. When I was choosing which would be first in the 30 series (my first two .45's were G21SF and G21g4), the 30S's frame is same as 30SF and 30g4. The slide is slimmer on the 30S. But, the frame thickness is what grabbed my attention at first. I have a .45 Shield, and did have a G30S. I like the Shield better. It's surprisingly easy to shoot for a small .45. I like the grip better than the Glock, it fits my hand better, and I can shoot it better. It's slimmer than the Glock, so it works better for me in a CCW role.I decided to change it up and start carrying my 30SF. Wow, the difference is like night and day. The 30 feels like a brick compared to the 19, even though both guns are almost the same size. I guess thickness difference and weight does matter! Both conceal just as well, but the 19 is a lot more comfortable. My 30 isn't going anywhere though.
