Jeep wrangler limp mode reset.

I've done a ton of searching and reading and have not found the same problem I'm having. 2007 Commander w/ the 3.7. Wife reports loss of power at normal drive speeds. No strange lights around gear indicators, not CEL, no ESP lights. Turning engine off and on fixes. Drives normal for a while. I've cleaned connections on the harness for the cam, air, and coolant sensor. Wiring looks OK to me other than the tightness of it and exposure where the brittle plastic loom disintegrated.Set your ecm back to stock and clear the codes. Turn off ignition and remove key. Now reprogram following on screen prompts, starting with gear ratio, and then tire size. When you are done, unplug flashcal, and before driving, plug it back in and confirm your settings have been changed.

It has happened 3 times since I have owned it. It only occurs if you have to drive it aggressively such as getting out into traffic and such. It has been fixed twice out warranty.

My 42rle auto transmission is currently in limp mode with a p1745 code. Also, briefly it showed a p0868 code as well. Prior to this, the trans pan was leaking pretty bad. So i changed the filter, gasket, and then just filled the fluid back up to good. The next weekend I did some light off roading and realized my radiator had cracked.

I have a 2001 TJ 4.0 and it is consistently throwing a P0305 (#5 piston misfire) code and any time the RPM reaches 2800, it cuts out and surges between 2600 and 2800 rpm (exactly like a Rev limiter, assume a limp mode).I want to reset the ecu, and here is how i did it, maybe its wrong. so please tell me what to do right. 1 - disconnect positive battery cable. 2 - disconnect negative batter cable. 3 - hold both cables together for 30 seconds. 4- connect positive back up. 5 - connect negative.I have a 2001 sport 4.0 5 speed and my jeep wont rev past 3000. A cam-crank relearn is a procedure performed which takes each phaser/actuator through their full range of travel and records their travel limits in the pcm so it can correlate them to the crank angle correctly. It should be performed any/every time work/replacement is done to a cam or crank sensor or phaser/actuator. Jscan can do it.

The first trip to the shop this time identified the wrong oil filter as the problem, mine did not have a check valve built in. The filter (and oil) was changed and the first climb up a highway grade, the code reset and the engine went into limp mode. Next trip to the shop had the oil changed and a new filter (again).This will clear any saved learned memory from the vehicle and reset it to factory stock parameters.
