From what I’ve found you’re most likely going to find them in systems level 9 or higher. Edit: There are usually only one or two mines however. There was a mining issue yesterday however that was fixed tritanium is quite common. Being found in most level 9-10 systems as well as sporadically in systems 16-18 and 22-24.I also use that crew for data mining. Both cases I use a Horizon. I use a Horizon with Domina, Helvia and Stonn. And my Bortas with Khan, Joachim and Marla prior to crack open. As others have said, they have great base cargo for raiding, and at higher levels have much better warp range to get you into dark space for 4* materials. But they are really expensive. I would suggest choosing your first faction miner based on your choices of lvl 32 and 34 ships.Other mining is bearable but this! Use a botany bay it's a lot faster. Use the Botany Bay. For a lot of things in STFC, there are specialized mining ships that it's only efficient to mine that thing with that ship.
