Feb 19, 2010 · To gain more attack bonus, you wind up losing resist (or something else). Waterworks gear the resist is global, meaning it protects you against all schools. Just my opinion. And yes, critical bonus has pretty much become obsolete with the release of Azteca although it does "get through" once in a blue moon.

The wt hat is good for questing as it gives a blade, in most situations it's better than the waterworks hat. The wt robe also gives a trap for bosses, otherwise worse than the waterworks robe. Waterworks boots are way better than the crafted ones, but if you don't want to do waterworks, barbarians fierce boots from the bazaar or wt bosses ...

Waterworks is a great location to farm for level 60 gear, mastery amulets for other schools, and mega snacks to train your pet. The hat, robe, and boots you get here are powerful enough to last you up until level 100, so it is definitely worth it to farm for at least a few runs.

Waterworks is totally worth the while. You get really good gear and its free. Alot of people always say that waterworks is a waste of time and to much of a grind, i disagree here is why. Tartarus gear is good. Pretty much the best level 90 gear. 3 years ago when it was the only gear option, yeah I'd say to farm it a lot. But now that there's a lot better gear 10 levels later, and even better gear after that, it's not worth to farm. Sure, do it a few times just to experience ...Waterworks is infamous for having the most overpowered gear in the entire game for high level (or medium level now) wizards since it came out. It has amazing universal resist and pretty much all of the other stats are great, too. This is a MUST! If there is only one thing you really farm for, get ALL three parts of the waterworks gear.
