I'd say buy the car and unplug the Karr box. Best of both worlds at this (too-late) point. Too late because it's already there, and as others have said, removing it and the wiring may introduce problems that don't currently exist. I don't know if that box is required for the car to start, if it is not, removing it shouldn't cause any issues.
