The game is fairly balanced and certain guns just fit better in play style and builds then others but like the repulsor the very last weapon you get in the game isn't the strongest weapon by any means. 2.

Assault rifle is better than the Chicago Typewriter mainly because it reloads faster. Unsure what the numbers say, but I've always personally like the assault rifle more than the Chicago or the beam. Definitely the way to go! Agreed. Currently everytime I beat a boss I look up any possible alt kills but that's mostly it. So if you have the trigger happy trait the beam rifle should be firing at 360rpm and with gunslinger added it should go up to about 390rpm. Base fire rate is 300rpm. Damn.
