Without the armor, the bowfa isn't worth using. 80 range and 70 agility outright. 82 smithing and crafting if an iron man. effectively 70 defence to wear crystal armor, as without it the bow is much worse.

The only upkeep of bowfa is the degrading armor. Dude corrupting it requires 2000 crystal shards. That's 32m gp and for 32m gp in shards you'd otherwise get 200k shots with the uncorrupted bofa. It's not like regular bofa doesn't require anything to use. Since bofa is 4 tick that's 25 shots per minute or 1500 per hour.

It’s still a better crystal bow so useable for sure , and sees good use at lizardman shamans (where you can’t use the armor anyway) as a free to use alternative to bp. It's worth using in any place where you'd use msb (i), but also want to conserve prayer points. Jad, shamans, DKs, gorillas, in all of these places I prefer crystal bow over msb (i). And if you got some crystal armour, crystal bow gets an even bigger edge. Gotta get one for Western province diary.

Helm is worth like 12% zuk dps compared to justi or veracs. That's a huge difference. You can also lazy flick with quick prayers as fbow.I would also like to add it worked great farming mossy keys in the wild.
