This isn't going to be a joke character, but I do want to have some humor to him and play up the fun craziness of goblins. Here's my thoughts so far:I rebuilt a character as thaumaturge at level 6, and went for the chunky ancient elf champion in full plate build. So dex 10, courtesy of the new ability score options. The class is balanced around 1h weapons. Implement's empowerment basically gives you 2h weapon damage with a 1h weapon. The action economy nightmare is just part of it...you outright lose damage by going this route. If you want a 2h weapon, don't be a thaumaturge. Problem with Marshal is that it's redundant with several of the Thaumaturge options e.g. the aura from regalia is better and doesn't take an action, Thaumaturge can already get status bonus to attacks or damage with weapon implement or regalia. Barbarian has this issue where using agile weapons halves your rage damage. Flurry Ranger reaches its maximum potential specifically with agile weapons. The Dual Weapon Warrior build people are recommending is honestly incredibly solid, I was able to make a fully dual-wield-capable Thaumaturge with Free Archetype using Dual Weapon Warrior.
