Power back on in Saco/Biddeford area for us but been without internet and trying to figure out if its a line issue or something else.Long story short, you CAN junk the pod and continue using your own router and equipment. Fidium uses PPPoE authentication. Call tech support and get request your credentials. Use a router that supports PPPoE (ubiquiti’s edge routers do) and create a new interface as your WAN using your credentials. Plug your router into the 10GE port on the ONT. I used my own router with fidium. When the tech came to install, I asked if I could write down the username and password for the Adtran. As soon as they left, I removed the Adtran and plugged my Linksys router into the ONT, then logged in PPPOE with [email protected] and the password the tech gave me. Everything works great. Don't have Fidium/Consolidated in yet. But have had Comcast Business for over two years, at 100 down/16 up, with 5 fixed IPs, which was running $131 a month on a 2-year contract. The contract ran out, and they bumped the charge by $30 without even contacting me first. Now Fidium quotes me ~$108 for 300/300 service, with 5 fixed IPs.
