I would start with looking for a "kill" switch under your dash somewhere. there are common to keep mechanics from losing fingers. disconnect all batter cables, clean posts, clean terminals, make SURE you do the cross over cable too. 1) hotwire 12V directly to starter - if it engages then I should be able to determine not a starter-itself problem. 2) starter switch relay. 3) ignition switch. 4) starter cut relay. 5) car alarm malfunction.
